Who is eligible to apply?
Our overseas training programs are open to low-income individuals, with a particular focus on women and youth. Specific requirements vary slightly by program — reach out and we'll tell you what fits your situation.
How much does it cost?
Community workshops are always free. Full program enrollment is free or low-cost depending on donor funding available at the time, and our scholarship track offers additional support — like a laptop loan or fee waiver — for those facing the greatest barriers to access.
What do I need to get started?
Access to a device and internet connection helps, but isn't always required — some of our workshops are designed for people with no prior device access. Let us know your situation when you apply and we'll guide you from there.
What happens after I apply?
A member of our team will follow up to learn more about your goals and match you with the right workshop or program track. There's no cost or obligation just to have this conversation.
Getting Help for Your Business or Organization
Who can request support?
Struggling and start-up small businesses and nonprofits based in Brooklyn or nearby, especially those with limited resources or no dedicated technical staff.
What kind of help is available?
Website setup and review, help getting found online, setting up everyday digital tools, and general technology troubleshooting — offered at low, subsidized cost to keep it accessible. Every engagement starts with a free consultation and a free personalized growth plan to understand what you actually need.
What does this cost?
The initial consultation and your personalized growth plan are always completely free, funded by our donors. Beyond that, we offer many of our services — like website builds and ongoing tech support — at low, subsidized cost, well below typical market rates, as part of our nonprofit mission. There's never any obligation to continue.

Is Secure IT Global Empowerment Inc. a real nonprofit?
Yes — we're a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 33-3701387), independent from any commercial IT services business. Every donation is tax-deductible.
Where does my donation go?
Your donation funds free technology and job-skills training for low-income individuals overseas, helping them build real career pathways. Many graduates go on to support or start small local businesses — including right here in Brooklyn — so your gift creates opportunity in both communities at once.
Can I see how donations are used?
Yes. Financial information and reporting on the use of donor funds are available to every donor upon request — just reach out to us directly.
